Christmas Fun

Went to Idaho for christmas this year. The weather was surprisingly great. We had everyone over for swimming in the hotel, went to pizza hut for christmas eve dinner. Had a wonderful christmas day dinner at Beckys house. My grandma Bateman drove up to see everyone. It was alot of fun to see my family. Hope everyone had a merry christmas. In the Hotel we let Jack and Kyle open one of their presents early and I'm glad we did because they played forever.
They were excited for thier new pajamas and presents. It was so fun.
Cousins had a lot of fun together.

Went to lunch for Becky and Amandas birthday.
Lights were beautiful and very crowded.

They had fun seeing santa at the ward christmas party. Kyle ran to him with his arms wide open.

Took the kids iceskating with Santa when some of Erics family was in town. The kids really didn't get into it but the atmosphere was fun.

Ironing

So today I pulled out the iron and board to do some of Erics shirts. Jack and Kyle both looked at me with their mouths open..."Mommy, whats that...what are you doing?" Seriously? I have never ironed in front of them before? Everyone who knows me knows I hate to iron.I dont own anything that really needs to be ironed. Its the last thing on my list when it comes to being a wife.So last, that I have seen Eric pulling out the board on a Sunday morning at 8:45 to do a white shirt. Oops. But hey, at least I made him a fabulous breakfast that morning. And a big breakfast is always on the top of my list.Anyway, Jack took a picture of me. He probebly thought he would never see it again. .

Good friends

This is one of my mission companions. We had fun serving together...or atleast I did.I remember one time I pushed her into a small stream while walking home for lunch. Then she got me right back. We were already wet from the rain and it gave us both a good laugh. She was so fun to serve with and we could always joke around. Tonight we got together for dinner. It was so fun to see her and get caught up on things.

Under The Sea

It was my turn to teach this week for preschool. We did an "Under the Sea" theme. It was so fun. Its great to have them all over. Definatly alot of work. I love how kyle gets to join right in when its my turn. He feels like such a big kid. We are going to take the kids to the Aquarium this week for their field trip.
While talking about crabs I tried to teach them to do the "crab walk". They raced and it was fun.
For a snack I made blue jello and put cut up grapes in it. I told them it was the sea with fish in it.
They made fish bowls for their craft.

They were all very excited to take their own fish home.

Thanksgiving

We decorated the christmas tree before we went to St. George for Thanksgiving. The boys were so helpful.I did not get any pictures of our trip except when we went to Kolob to play in the snow.

You cant tell but Jack is on Erics lap and his face is getting covered with snow. He did not want to go again.

My brother-in-laws jeep broke down so we had to squeeze in one vehicle for the ride home. The kids loved it.

Halloween Fun

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Now that we have kids its even more fun. We were lucky to attend alot of fun parties. Now thanks to these two, Eric and I have enough candy to last us for a long time!
We first kicked off the season by going to a Pirate Party put on by our neighbor and good friend Jana. They did a treasure hunt and played games. It was such a fun idea.
For preschool last week we had a Halloween carnival for the kids.(Thanks to Rachel for putting most of it together)The kids got to bob for apples, decorate pumpkins and play in the leaves. So fun.

My cousin Audrey hosted a costume party for the kids. She had made a bunch of fun halloween scary treats and the kids played pin the pieces on the pumpkin.

The kids got to decorate their own halloween bags at the library then go around and fill them up.
For story time at the library they read fun stories and then the kids got to go around and trick-or-treat at all the desks.

Erics work had a fun trick or treating event. We went around the office and got lots of candy. Then they had decorated their break room and had treats and scary music playing.
This is our ward Trunk-or-treat. We have never attended one before. They played some fun music and had hot chocolate and donutes. After a while Jack just wanted to pass out the candy. He did a great job.
